Graduate School of Logistics
The ITPL is a member of the Graduate School of Logistics, an institution of the TU Dortmund University in cooperation with relevant faculties of the universities of Duisburg/Essen, Paderborn, and Münster. The Graduate School of Logistics doctoral students are funded with scholarships directly from industry.
The goal of the Graduate School of Logistics is to work on comprehensive research questions for global logistics in networked teams of fellows, oriented to large-scale tasks of the companies. The fellows address fundamental issues of the sponsoring companies and develop new solutions, which in turn make results in industrial applications possible in the first place. Therefore, the involvement of the industrial companies in the support of the fellows of the Graduate School is not only motivated by the acquisition and qualification of new executives, but also by the creation of highly innovative, new logistics solutions.
